Career in Costume Design
What is it?
A costume designer is a professional who designs costumes for various characters in a film, television or stage productions. They are also responsible for providing correct props for actors. The main role of a costume designer is to create the characters using color and textures to balance the scenes of the show.
Costume designers work closely with other production crew members, including script writers, directors, producers, and lighting technicians, as well as make-up artists and hair stylists.

- Reads the script, understands the various characters and designs costumes to fit the role.
- Confirms what an actor and supporting artists will wear for particular scene.
- Uses various design tools and conceptualize various costume designs to be made.
- Works with the production team and finalizes various costumes
